Forhøret Podster Saga Talks

Saga Talks’ new cover art for the Podster show ‘Forhøret’. The podcast will be available on eReolen, Podimo, Mofibo, Saxo Premium, Nextory and Bookmate.

Podster and Saga Talks have entered into an agreement to distribute the true crime podcast ‘Forhøret’ in Denmark. Initially, the deal covers 15 episodes, which were previously available via the RSS feed and have been played more than 180,000 times since the summer of 2023.

Podster’s strategy of adapting local podcasts into global formats has proven to be a recipe for success. Their catalogue features critically acclaimed and award-winning podcasts, all of which have made it to the top charts in their home market. For that reason, it is no surprise that Podster’s adaptations have performed well internationally, including in Denmark, Finland, Germany and the Netherlands.

Podster’s CEO and Co-founder Henriette Høj Gharib comments on the partnership: “We are thrilled that Saga Talks will breathe new life into Forhøret. It is an extremely captivating podcast that deserves more attention. We hope this collaboration will allow us to adapt more episodes of the popular true crime series.”

Podster’s Danish adaptation of the Swedish true crime podcast Förhörsrummet, known as Forhøret in Danish, reached the top 3 in the fall of 2023. The show has surpassed 180,000 plays since its release. In total, 15 episodes of Forhøret have been released, covering two cases: the murder of Carolin Stenvall and a dismembered body found in Karlskrona. These 15 episodes will now be distributed by Saga Egmont.

“We’re very excited to relaunch Forhøret and bring it to new listeners across streaming platforms and on eReolen. Forhøret uniquely blends fiction and true crime, and we believe this format has a significant audience on the platforms we distribute to,” says Astrid Skov, Editor-in-Chief at Saga Talks.

Saga Egmont’s release of Forhøret is scheduled for September 3, 2024. You can listen to the show on eReolen, Podimo, Mofibo, Saxo Premium, Nextory, and Bookmate.
