More than a podcast

Wild Science is not just a podcast: it is an adventure into the heart of the natural world,” states Henriette Høj Gharib, Co-founder and CEO of Podster. She continues, “Our goal is to make science engaging and accessible for everyone. This is why Wild Science will be produced in two versions, one for adults and one for kids. So everyone with an interest in scientific concepts will get a chance to be enlightened, entertained and inspired.”

Wild Science is written by Etienne Terblanche, a science journalist, natural history writer and explorer with 15 years of experience in the field. He is the former editor of Innovative Breeding by VikingGenetics, a former staff writer at Encounter Africa and has created research-backed educational content for conservation organisations like CapeNature, where he produced a popular field guide to tortoises, among many other projects.

Terblanche also has a background in wildlife rehabilitation, ultimately specialising in predatory birds and working with species as diverse as owls and penguins. What’s more, as a keen sailor and diver, he has explored some of the world’s remotest oceans, including crossing the Southern Ocean from Africa to Australia.
