Cappelen Damm is the largest publishing house in Norway and works with both traditional and electronic media.
Podster and Cappelen Damm agree to adapt and publish five titles for both adults and children in Norway. All titles will be available as audio and e-books in the coming years.
Since 2024, Podster has partnered with Norwegian publisher Cappelen Damm to bring its original children’s podcasts to Norwegian audiences. The partnership began with The World’s Wildest Bandits and has since expanded to include the entire The World’s Wildest universe written by Thomas Brunstrøm, along with Podster’s newest original series Animals That Are Cooler Than You.
The two companies have now strengthened their collaboration by signing a new distribution agreement covering five additional series. The agreement includes two Podster originals for children: History Hunters and If I Survive. History Hunters follows two siblings who uncover both extraordinary and surprisingly ordinary treasures while exploring the greatest stories through history. If I Survive shares gripping true stories of people who overcame some of history’s most incredible survival ordeals.
The agreement also covers three licensed series for adult audiences. These include Fatal Encounter, licensed from What’s the Story Sound, which examines the assassinations of historical figures and the events that changed the course of history. Also included is Naufrages, licensed from the French broadcaster Radio France, which tells remarkable true stories of survival against all odds. Completing the agreement is Hollywood Crimes, licensed from RTL in Germany, exploring some of Hollywood’s most shocking and infamous criminal cases.
Cappelen Damm will publish the titles in multiple formats, so both listeners and readers will be able to enjoy the new series.
