Podster and Cappelen Damm will release a Norwegian translation of ‘The World’s Wildest Bandits’ in Spring 2025.

The Danish hit podcast-turned-book phenomenon ‘The World’s Wildest Bandits’, previously known as ‘The World’s Wackiest Bandits’, will soon reach Norwegian audiences in audio and print, thanks to Podster’s partnership with Norway’s largest publisher, Cappelen Damm.

Originally launched as a podcast in collaboration with Saxo in Denmark, The World’s Wildest Bandits quickly grew in popularity, leading to a physical book published in Denmark by Politikens Forlag on November 1, 2024. The series is a unique and fun experience for young listeners that uncovers the wild adventures of bandits throughout history. In The World’s Wildest Bandits, popular children’s book author Thomas Brunstrøm tells real stories of bank heists, prison escapes, scams and much more.

“We are delighted to bring The World’s Wildest Bandits to Norwegian children. It is an amazing series that intrigues and entertains all at once and we are confident it will be as big a hit in Norway as it has proven to be in Denmark,” says editor-in-chief, Margit Skretteberg at Cappelen Damm.

The publication of The World’s Wildest Bandits through Cappelen Damm marks Podster’s first release in Norway. Securing this deal is a significant achievement for the Danish startup, as Cappelen Damm is Norway’s largest publishing house. With Cappelen Damm acquiring the rights for the Norwegian market, the book and audiobook of The World’s Wildest Bandits will soon be available to Norwegian families.

The World’s Wildest Bandits has received an astonishing amount of positive feedback from both children and parents in Denmark. We believe this concept has international potential, and Norway is our first stop,” comments Podster’s CEO and co-founder Henriette Høj Gharib. “We are proud to collaborate with Cappelen Damm and cannot wait to see our bandits travel to Norway.”

The World’s Wildest Bandits will be released in print in Norway in March 2025. The release dates for the audio books will be announced in due course.
